Eugenia
This evergreen shrub has dense foliage with reddish-white autumn coloring and is often used as a hedge or privacy barrier. Some species of Eugenia bear fruit and flowers. The Eugenia makes an excellent hedge with its smooth, shiny, aromatic leaves and does best in full sun. When aggressively pruned, this shrub can grow vigorously to 12 -15 feet.
These shrubs will grow in full sun to part shade.
It's cold hardy and will do fine in Zone 9B and southward.
